Like he promised yesterday, Rico picked me up exactly at 7, but something was wrong with him. His previous neat clothes were bloody, and he didn't speak a word to me.

In fact, we were in the same car but all he did was clench his jaw and bloody knuckles. No doubt he must have gotten into a fight with someone. What worries me is why he chose to ignore my presence.

As soon as he pulled over to his mum's house, Rico disappeared into the house, leaving me stranded beside his car. If it was not for Carl and his mum talking to me about staying, I would be home right now.

They were so generous to show me his room but he wasn't there either. I waited for the whole night and the man didn't show up.
