Morning sunlight streams through the curtains into the room, landing on my face, gently rousing me from my sleep. I stretch and yawn, feeling the remnants of last night's activities still lingering on my body. I turn my head to the side, and my breath hitches as I take in the sight of Jessica lying beside me, my gaze blurry. Rubbing my eyes to clear away sleep, I move away from her, picking up my spare glasses that I had stored away in the bedside drawer and putting them on. My gaze clears, and I return to Jessica, who is still asleep, her chest rising and falling rhythmically, her lips slightly parted in peaceful repose. The gentle hues of sunrise paint her skin with a soft glow, and I'm struck by how beautiful she looks even in the early morning light.
