June stood, disbelief warring with confusion on her face. She turned to Nelson and asked, "Is what my sister said true?"

Nelson was lying on the other bed and he knew June hadn't seen him during the incident.

"Yes, June, Frederick's a monster. I was passing by the Imperial Suite and saw him trying to violate you. To protect you, I fought him desperately, but he ambushed me and injured me."

A smug smile flickered across his face. He hadn't gotten close to June, but he'd become a hero.
