Tobias' POV-
I grab my water bottle and locker key before heading towards the door. My breathing eventually calms down but my muscles ache signalling an amazing workout. I nod a goodbye at the gym instructor by the door before heading out, wiping the sweat off my head with my arm. My thoughts turned towards Emily and I feel a pang of hurt knowing everything she's gone through. She's a good person
Jake's POV -The sun is setting and the darkness invites itself into the room through the blinds. I stand up and walk over to them, blocking out the night. Ivory left a few hours ago and I'm left alone with nothing but the steady beeps. I shut my eyes and place my forehead against the wall, breathing deeply. My legs shake uncontr
Emily's POVI open my eyes slowly and feel grateful for the darkness that welcomes me. I'm not ready for any bright lightsjustyet. My body screams out in pain and I groan quietly, shifting out of the position I'm in. I pull back the covers and glance back down at the ugly white plaster on my stomach.
Jake's POV -I balance two cups of coffee in my hand and push the door open slowly with my other one. A small smile plays on my lips as I notice she's still fast asleep, eyelids fluttering a little. I'd woken up before her and decided to pop to the hospital cafe to start our day off right. I place the cups on the bedside table and yawn, stretching my arms over my head.
"What have you got there?" I ask Jake, inspecting his bags as he walks through the door. He exhales deeply and drops the bags onto the bed, a smile spreading across his face. I watch as he dramatically wiped an invisible line of sweat off his forehead before giving me a kiss on the cheek."I'll show you in a minute. Are you okay?" He asks noticing my worried expression. He takes a seat next to me, his smile fading away.
"Let me show you something."I nod and watch in silence as Tobias walks to the end of my bed. He breathes in deeply as if he's debating whether he's making the right choice or not. I wait patiently, wondering what it is he wants to show me.He bite
"Her name was Violet, I met her in the last year of school." Jake begins, his mouth fixed in a thin line."She was more than a fling, I really liked her, you know? I'd only ever sleep with girls before her," he coughs awkwardly, glancing at me to watch my reaction. I give him a small smile and motion for him to continue.
The day is finally here.I bounce up and down excitedly as I glance at the clock for the millionth time in the last five minutes. Jake is due to be here at exactly half past eleven to take me home. All my belongings are packed and I'm as beyond excited. The door opens and I jump up with my bag o
I pad softly up the stairs, glancing down at my watch. Jake has officially been locked away in his room for almost four hours. Myra shocked us all with her outburst but I can't help agreeing with her. The feud between Jake and Tobias is exhausting and weallwant it to come to an end. I pause in front of Jake's bedroom door before knocking on it.A minute passes and there's no answer. I roll my eyes, knocking on it again.
