Cassy POV

"Enjoy the party Cassy"Christopher welcome me warmly

I can't believe he invited me.....I really don't want to be here but since he invited Max and am he's personal assistant it's kinda necessary I should come

But I don't want Max to see me...not after what happened at the beach

I've been avoiding him lately.... not him but Penny

That girl is so weird!

I heard she fired 5 employees last month cause they made advances towards Max....well my only luck is my mum

She can't possibly do that to me...my mum would be heart broken

I found my way to the mini bar requesting a bottle of vodka

"Thanks"I sipped the content of the drink

"Hey there pretty"a brute approached me smiling

Am really not in the mood for this...

I spared him a glance diverting my attention back to the party

"What!?"I snapped

"Was just trying to gain your attention...hope I didn't get you mad pretty"I rolled my eyes ignoring

The idoit diverted his attention to that rushing to see what happened

She held Tina In her who I think got shot... just then Liam came in swooping Tina... Max and Penny also followed him outside

Looks like the party is over... little by little people dispersed... don't need anyone to tell me to leave

I grabbed my pursue headed for my car

I got in driving staright home... later that night I had a long bath

I slumped on the couch turning on the TV

I tied the knot of my nightie about going to bed when I heard strange noises from outside

I grabbed my torch light walking cautiously...I heard someone grunt..

"Who's there!?"I asked nervously still no reply 

"Who's that!?"no reply...I summoned courage taking further steps 

I starined my eye to see a body lying on the ground....I gasped in shock thinking he or she is dead

I grabbed a piece of stick using it to touch the person...the body stirred a little...it's James?

What's he doing here?...I hesitanted for a while before dragging the him it my penthouse

I cleaned up his woods and then bandaged it pretty nicely...2 hours later he regained consciousness.... he blinked his eyes rapidly waking up

"Hey James are you okay?"I asked placing my hand on his left arm

"C... Cassy"he called weakly

"Glad to see you remember me"

"You saved me thanks..I _"he was cut short by the broadcaster on tv

"I'll turn it off"

"Wa...wait!...l..look james you don't have to do this...I can be of some assistance to you..."

"W..well I know you love Penny and guess what I also love Max...s....so you see ...we can work something out"he stopped on his track thinking

"I can also be useful in so many ways"I took a step forward placing my hand on his chest...he smiled boardly getting the signal

Max POV

"Sweetheart have you seen my phone ?....."I asked still opening the door to the room... Penny sat on the bed looking worried

"Babe what wrong?" I sat next to her cupping her hands in mine

"Are you sick or something?" I placed my palm on her forehead

"My dad texted me saying he wants to speak with me" her voice cracked a little as she spoke

"Wants to speak with you? ... about what exactly?"

I felt anger surging through me... is this dude serious?

"We should report this to the cops" I said getting on my feet

"No Max!" she got hold of my arm

"But Penny we can finally get Justin for you and your sister...and am pretty sure he's also behind what happened to Tina"

"But Max...I...if I go I can finally know the reason why behind his hatred towards me..."

"Penny what if it's a trap or?..."

"No buts Penelope... you're not going...I don't want you getting hurt" I said stroking her cheeks...she looked at me with teary eyes

"I'll be back ...okay...stay put and don't go anywhere"

"O...okay" she nodded her head...I pecked her once more headed downstairs...it's been long I checked up on my mum.....wonder how she's faring?

After speaking with her through the phone...I stared at the text once more

He's a really idoit if he thinks Penny would come ...not to worry Oliver...you'll soon rot in jail like James

I chuckled lighty opening the door to our room..the smile on my face died down immediately I saw the room empty!

"Penny!" I yelled hoping to hear her respond... "Penny "I opened the bathroom...no sign of her

The drive to creasent avenue took 19 minutes....I alighted from the car In a haste ...I walked near the water fountain to see Penny standing with her father smiling

"Penny !"I rushed to her direction grabbing hold of her arm

"Are you okay?...did he hurt you?... Penny!....speak to me!"she looked lost in thought

"You bàstard!...what did you do to her?!?"I rasped ...I marched to his direction about to grab hold of his neck when Penny pulled me back

He grinned lightly... staring at me the her

"Good night daughter"he walked away gingerly

"Penny what's wrong?...why did you stop me?"she looked at me with teary eyes

"Max let's go home...he's not to blame... he's not the villain here"
