The deafening silence on our ride back home was too much to bear that I have to pretend that I was asleep for the whole trip though I know that he could probably sense my restless heartbeat signifying that I am not really asleep.

And I do not know what to tell him to start a conversation either, and it is not that I was the one who was like a volcano that instantly erupted out of nowhere, I was just asking, was it my fault that he is hiding a lot of things? I remained pressed against the car window with my eyes closed in an attempt to make him believe that I was trying to sleep, but I guess I would never be successful in fooling him.
