Calvin didn’t change his mind about the meeting with Angel’s father. For now, he would focus on other things like asking Angel if she wanted to press charges against him. It was Thursday morning, and he was preparing for work. Cara’s number was still unreachable. Angel hadn’t stopped trying, but he was taking a break. 

His head cocked to the side as the door to their bedroom opened. Angel walked in with a smile. She must have been cooking. It was something she started yesterday. Waking up early enough to make him food before he left and also a lunch pack for work. He would argue against it, but it made her happy. 

“Need any help?” she asked as he fiddled with the cufflinks of his shirt. He shook his head. “Sure?” 

“Yeah. Thanks.”
