HSC: Chapter 13

She was about to speak, but Travis spoke first.

“Good, you're ready. I thought you were still upstairs getting ready, so I went down to call you. The dress I bought for you looks perfect; it suits you. You look like a person, huh. I won't be embarrassed at the party because of you.”

She thought he liked her appearance a little bit, but she couldn't expect anything from her husband. He is only doing this so he won't be embarrassed later at the party.

“Let's go; we might get stuck in traffic.” He turned around and walked towards the car. She sighs; he couldn't even be a gentleman for one night.

He got into the car first. She just shook her head and followed him, getting into the passenger seat.

During the ride, they were quiet. She just chose to look outside.
