Everest

I sat in the class listening to the teacher's lecture on Geometry. Just the diagrams and calculations made my head hurt. I was here to contest for the position of a Luna not a mathematician. I placed my head lazily on my palm as I stared at the strange writings on the chalkboard.

The teacher moved around the class,“You all have to be familiar with the shapes and sizes of things so as to identify them. For example, you need to know the clear difference of a Rectangle from a square and also a Circle from an Oval shape. All you need to know are the formulas which can be used to calculate its Area.”

I looked him in the eyes as I let out a yawn of boredom. It seems this caught his attention, he looked towards my direction heading towards my seat. “Miss Everest, you seem uninterested in what I'm teaching.”
