"Do you like me?"

His hand stops midway as he was going to take another forkfull of spaghetti. His molten green eyes meet my brown ones immediately.

"What...did you ask?" He asks as if to confirm that he heard me right.

Taking in a deep breath, I repeat my question. "Do you like me, Darin?" He keeps his fork on his plate now giving me his sole attention.

"Yes, I like you. So much." He says and I release my breath that I was holding unknowingly, waiting for his answer.

I smile and look down at my plate which is still more than half full. I could not eat with my full heart as a lot of doubts and questions were swarming in my head knowing that I would ask him that question. But now, I am feeling hungry.
