Mrs Cassie turned to Alyssia.

Alyssia gulped again as she stared into the larva once again. Everyone looked at her with fear and a little bit of pity. Jake came forward and put his hand on her shoulders,

"I just want you to know that in case you don't make it, you were a good friend." he told her with an earnest look on his face. She looked at him not knowing what to say to that.

"Stop saying that to my mate, nothing is going to happen to her" Nacen said as he pushed Jake away from her, "Although I am having second thoughts about this." he whispered to her. She wouldn't blame him, just the temperature around here was enough to roast a person alive then how would the larva be. She could almost feel the scorching flames lick at her skin as if in anticipation of her being there.
