“Hey, you,” I say, leaning against Bella’s locker.

“Hey, you,” She smiles at me.

“So, heard from Stone?” I ask, hoping he finally responded to her. She only sent 1000 texts.

“He wished a great first day of school via text. I tried to call him, no answer. Today is his 18th birthday, so he may not want to hear my voice anymore,” she tells me.

“What does Shelby say?” I ask.

“That I’m being pushy and need to back off,” Bella rolls her eyes.
