Wesley’s POV

“MOM, DAD!” I yell as Bridget and I enter the Alpha apartment.

“Wesley, you could mindlink us,” Mom tells me, hugging me.

“Where is the fun in that?” I answer. “Mom, my mate.”

Bridget keeps her head down and won’t look at Mom.

“Bridget, it’s okay. Martin and I have come to terms with this,” Mom tells her, lifting her head. Mom gives her a small smile. “Welcome to your home.”

Bridget slides close to me, still avoiding Mom’s eye.

“Well, well, well, my son and Heir,” Dad comes out of his office. Dad sees the mark on my neck and nods. “You may be in line for an Alpha title, but you are a warrior at heart. Couldn’t wait to mark your mate.”

I can’t help but wrap Bridget in my arms, pull her in front of me, and kiss her neck.

“You might be right. Thankfully, I got a strong Beta Female as a mate, so our pups will be better than me,” I move my hands over Bridget’s stomach.

“I’m not a pup machine,” Bridget whispers, pulling her hands on top of mine.

“I know baby, it's a jo
