2 weeks later
Stella Newton
After checking my account savings, I realised that by the next three weeks I'll have enough money to start my mom's surgery. I was beyond happy. I went to the hospital last week to see her and I spent some time reading to her. She only squeezed my hand and say a few soft words here and there. The doctor said her kidney was failing slowly day by day. I cried that day but now seeing that I will have enough money soon, made me happy in every way.
I was currently cleaning the living room. The bosses left earlier for a meeting but I couldn't help but noticed something weird with them. Daryl somewhat seemed distant from his wife by the way he acted when she went close to him and kiss his cheek. He didn't pay her any mind at all and just walked out. I couldn't forget the hurt and confusion on Amanda's face when he did that.
