Chapter Twenty Three
Stella
"Home sweet home"
I watched as mom examined our home with a smile on her face. I took her bag to her room before going back downstairs to see her in deep, deep thought.
"mom? What's wrong?, I asked going beside and wrapping my arms around her.
" I'm just overwhelmed you know? Apart of me was thinking that I wouldn't be here today".
"Well you're here, and right now is the happiest I've ever been".
I gave her a small smile before hugging her and kissing her cheek. After I pulled away I went to the bag with a few groceries that I bought and started preparing some soup for her. The doctor said that she must consume soft foods for now; maybe in the next few months she can start eating solid foods.

Stella "Thank you for coming" I nodded and looked at Jackson who sat across from me in the small cafe he said he wanted me to come to. He was dressed casually for the first but his appearance was on point. I took off my bag and placed my hands in my lap. Stella "Everyone's nice and easy to get along with so don't worry about anything" I nodded at Francis before relaxing in the car seat. We were on our way to his house for a reunion his family was keeping. I was dressed casually in a knee length skirt and a designer's blouse with some simple shoes. Francis on the other hand was dressed like he was going to a fashion show in Las Vegas. He was wearing a black jeans with a few zippers, a white button up shirt, a brown leather jacket and shoes that have the same color with aviator glasses that made him look hot but cool at the same time.
