Schuyler's P. O. V.

The lycans from above were howling after Ezekiel introduced me to everyone. The looks in their eyes were screaming danger as I looked at each of them, but no one dared to question Ezekiel's decision. Still, I'm certain that not most of them are loyal to him. Maybe, they're one those who are plotting against him for marrying me, a mere human in their eyes.

As Ezekiel pulled me to sit in front of them, I saw Marisse giving me a meaningful look before she turned her back on us and left the room. I faced Ezekiel and touched his wrist.

"I-I need to use the restroom." I stood up from sitting again.

Ezekiel narrowed his eyes on me before he slowly nodded and let me go. I turned my back on him before I carefully walked away. I thought for a moment there that he wouldn't let me go.

As I left the room, I saw Marisse talking to someone, an old man and he only stopped when he spotted me coming towards them. I heard him respectfully excusing himself and he only walked past me.
