Chapter 7

I walk towards where I dropped my dagger when the police stormed in, and I pick it up and tugs it in my leather jacket.

I should kill him, that is what I was paid to do. And it’s not only about the money, it is my reputation on the line.

But I also don’t want any client thinking that they can control me just because they hired me, used a disguised voice, and made stupid threats.

I fear nothing, and especially, no one.

“Do you want me to?” I ask him and he gulps.

“Well, if you’re talking about murder in the bed department..” He says with a grin as he scans my body.

“Oh my gosh.” I say as I shake my head while smiling.

“You are unbelievable.” I say with a small smile as I watch him.

A few seconds pass between us as we both look at each other.

“I like it when you smile.” He says to me, and a weird feeling covers my chest.

I don’t know how to describe it, but I like it.

I clear my throat loudly and I begin to walk towards the room’s window.

“I am not going to kill you, Robert. You are not worthy enough.” I say without looking at him.

“I think I’m pretty worthy, especially when your nails were deep within my back.” He says casually.

I can tell that these sex comments and jokes comes easy to him.

“Do you have to make everything about sex?” I ask as I try to climb out of the open window.

“You don’t have to use the window to leave, you know. There’s literally a door over there.” He avoids my question and says as he points towards the direction of the door.

I stop my movements.

He is right.

I can leave through the door easily. I basically have today to freely roam these grounds. The lieutenant really wants that grant processed.

I place my leg back down and my eyes land on Robert’s back, reminding me that he’s half naked.

He was checking his laptop on the bed.

“Hey, pretty boy.” I call his attention, and he turns towards me with a smirk.

“Hey, beautiful girl.” He replies, and my cheek begins to feel warm.

The hell is happening to me?

Am I actually falling for this man whore?

He sleeps with everything that moves. From my research, he acquired the position as CEO by sex!

He has no qualifications whatsoever; he does not belong in that company.

There was a guy that was in line to be the CEO before Robert. He was always on the news, channel eight, to be exact.

He was a middle age man that had worked his way up in the company for almost a decade; and when he was finally supposed to be named CEO, everything changed.

Robert Jones, the player of the century stepped in.

He was working at the company as an secretary to the proprietor, and he was not good at his job. Not at all.

But Robert knew he was a good looking, and attractive man. He had sex for common, and so he seduced the proprietor.

He slept with her the night before the decision was made concerning the CEO position, and I guess he might have persuaded her real good, because he was announced CEO of the company the next day.

The man who was next in line who goes by the name of Victor Sans, quit moments after the decision.

He was livid, and swore to get revenge.

Come to think of it, my client could be Victor, but I need to do some more research.

“What did you mean by I’m special?” I ask him, and he takes a step close to me.

“Oh, now. You’re really want to know, huh?” He asks as he locks his lips.

“And how are you even okay after such a lethal dose that paralyzed you hours ago?” I ask, intrigued by how okay he is, despite the drug I injected him with.

If I had just increased the dosage a bit, he would have been dead.

Robert shrugs and says loosely, “I got good doctors.”

“Huh.” I say.

“Jen..that’s your name, right?” He asks me, but I give him no response.

I fold my arms on my chest as I watch him with a small smile.

“I’m sure it’s your name. Anyway, I literally thought I was going to die. I thought it was over. But then when you accepted my offer for sex, I was stunned.” He explains.

“I never thought it would work, I only said that because I was beyond desperate, and you didn’t want money.” He adds.

“Well...” I say.

“Yeah, but you were different.” He says as he walks closer to me and squints his eyes, as if he’s trying to figure something out.

“That was not just sex for me, and I don’t think it was for you either.” He adds, causing my heart to double its speed for some reason.

I open my mouth to speak, but no words comes out.

He walks closer again, and this time, he is dangerously close to me.

I can smell his cologne strongly.

“It was not just sex for you, Jen. Was it?” He asks me as he stares into my eyes.

His eyes seems magical.

His pupils are really dilated as he stares at me. I also see him wetting his lip, and his breathing rhythm has changed. His wide chest is moving up and down faster than normal.

He lifts his hands to touch my face, and I watch him in fascination.

All this is new to me, and what I’m feeling right now is euphoric.

When his thumb touches my cheek, I close my eyes in response.

“You like when I touch you, huh?” He asks and I open my eyes. I can see that his own eyes are filled with lust.
