I was restless that night.

I stayed up staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. My eyes weighed heavy with sleep but I couldn't bring myself to close them.

The wheels in mind kept turning and clicking. It was as though I was just coming to the realisation that I was now aware of the existence of an entire supernatural species. That night when they had told me the truth, a part of me already knew it. I only wanted a confirmation before I could allow myself to actually believe it.
