Chapter Thirty-One

The missing piece of the puzzle.

It was my father.

The blood that Alaric wiped all over me was my father's. A thought that has me wanting to scream and cry at the same time. But I couldn't even if I wanted to.

If Alaric's goal is to emotionally torture me, then he succeeded. I may harbor bitterness in my father's lies and his seemingly selfish decision but at the end of the day, he was still my father and I love him.
