Alyssa was dreading the familiar feelings of panic and uncertainty. She told Mandy and Kim that she was fine, and she was. However, she was also likely developing an ulcer from all the worries.
The minute she left the café, Alyssa had called Scott. It had taken him less than twenty minutes to join her, and he was now reviewing the cryptic note.
“What now?” she asked.
