As the telephone conversation ended, the private driver had finished meeting the receptionist.

"How did it go? Is there an empty room?"

"Yes, Sir. There are still 10 vacant rooms," the driver replied.

"That's it. Immediately book 2 rooms, for you and me. Here's the cash,"

"Okay, Sir," the driver said.

A few minutes later, the middle-aged man and his driver were directed by hotel staff to go to rooms 10A and 10B. All of the middle-aged man's belongings had been moved by the hotel staff from the car to the inn room.

"I'm room 10A. You're room 10B,"

"Okay, Sir," the driver said.

By half-past five in the afternoon, the middle-aged man was relaxing in his room, enjoying the facilities provided by the hotel for guests. He was very relieved to hear the news of Dirman's victory as Chair of the Rector Election Committee.
