Ch 49: A better deal

“Good morning, boss.”

Miranda greeted enthusiastically, her boobs dancing up and down in the low v-neck shirt she donned. Declan’s fleeting gaze rested there, and he veered his eyes off as quickly.

He acknowledged her and quickly went down to business.

“Racco left a piece of information for me?”

He questioned with certainty, expecting her to brief him on the findings.

“No, boss.

He didn’t leave any information. He’s rather waiting in my office.

Said he needed to speak with you personally.”

When Miranda spoke, she looked so drained that Declan had an imperceptible smile tugging at his lips. He had seen very few things affect his assistant, and if Racco could silently work her up this much, he could only applaud him in his mind.

With a stoic face, he nodded in acknowledgment and headed for his office,

“Get him to see me now!”

Declan was soon standing in front of his office, a cuss escaping his lips uncontrollably, “What the fu*k!”
