I could feel Alex glaring at my outfit for the nth time as I was fixing myself in front of the mirror. He made me change my clothes five times because he said it looked like I was going out on a date instead of hanging out with friends. I finished putting on my clothes and turned to face Alex.

"How about this one? It's literally just a white shirt, jeans, and sneakers. You happy with this one now?" I asked, already getting annoyed with Alex.

Leon and I planned to meet at the coffee shop at nine in the morning, but it was already nine-thirty. I had to call and explain to Leon that I'm not ditching him and lied about having some emergency at work. Alex walked over to the rack of long sleeve tops before pulling out an ugly brown flannel shirt and handing it over to me. I don't even know why I still have that shirt.

"Wear this." He demanded.

"Uh, no. Do you not see how ugly that color is?" I asked, making a disgusted face.

"Exactly. Wear it." He said, pushing the flannel towards me.
