Chapter - 49

Sara Owen suddenly felt chill in the atmosphere. She breathed a familiar manly fragrance mixed with the smell of alcohol and tobacco. She turned her head and looked at his feet. Yes, he was standing beside her with his palms inside his pockets.

She did not speak and looked at the beautiful flowers waiting for the snowfall.

He did not speak because he had no idea what he was going to talk to her.

“You shouldn't have come. It is cold outside.” She spoke to break the awkward silence.

“It’s up to me.”

His cold reply gave her a sad smile.

“I know. I should not advise you but every time I am making a mistake.”

“It was not advice. It was care.”

Sara Owen didn’t expect such an answer from him.

“I think so.”

“What are you thinking?” He stepped back and leaned to the column of the shed and lit a cigarette for him.

When she took much time to answer, he exhaled smoke and looked at her thin back.

“Are you still thinking about him?”

“I never want to think about him. But he still pops up
