CHAPTER FIFTEEN

"Jane, I think you should calm down. For all we know, this might have been a long time ago." Marcus' voice was filled with compassion.

"What do you mean I should calm down?!" Jane yelled more in pain than in anger or for the sake of being rude. "I know those clothes! I know those clothes in that picture! She wore them the same day she came to my office to be friends! And that shoe and the same hair." Jane was crying loudly making Marcus feel sad.

Jane felt her legs turn soft and she slowly slum to the floor. Her cry had subsided to a gentle sob but her tears were still uncontrollably and her pain raw in every teardrop. "Why will Suzan do this to me? I thought we were friends."

Marcus could hardly understand her words as they were mixed with tears and sorrow. He had dropped the picture on the floor and was twisting his hands contemplating whether he should comfort her or leave the room for her. "I am sorry," he muttered more to himself than to Jane.
