Chapter 14: Breakfast with Lara

Lara and Mike both walked back into the mansion after Madam Alora left with Janet.

Lara stood nervously behind Mike as she watched him stride towards the black couch in his living room. He sat down and stared back at her while she stared downwards.

Lara remembered that she had seen Mike's bare body the previous night. Her forehead turned sweaty, coupled with the fact that she had inhaled his cologne when she was pleading with him not to allow Madam Alora to take her away.

Lara felt her palm turn sweaty, and Mike spoke to her: "I won't be leaving to the park with you today, as I'm very tired and needing to rest."

Lara replied, "Okay, sir."

Lara still stood speechless, waiting for Mike to dismiss her or ask her to leave.

Mike continued to stare at Lara as a lot of questions ran through his mind. Since she just replied "Okay" to him, she seemed comfortable staying in his house, not as if she knew him before.
