Lia’s POV

I hadn't slept that long when I woke up to a noise from outside the house, I slowly opened my eyes and got off the bed to turn on the light.

When my eyes were finally adjusted to the light, I approached the window to open the curtain, I immediately gasped as people's cameras began to light up.

Why there were so many people waiting for me outside the house? I quickly pulled the curtain closed again with my cold and trembling hand.

"Lia, are you awake yet?" it was mom's voice, her concern was obvious. "I'm going in." The door slowly opened and she rushed to me to hug me. "Everything will be fine, just trust us with your father we can do it."

She gently caressed my back over and over again, "Call your work first that you still can't come in today, if they fire you, we will just move to another city or just go back to the province, even if we move to another country it will be fine."
