Chapter 136 In a Dilemma

"Where did you hear about this?" Nadia asked as she grabbed Kayla's hand. She was even more anxious than Lana.

Kayla shook her head. "I'm sorry, I heard about this from someone else. I didn't have your contact before this, so I couldn't find you."

Lana nodded. It was good enough that Kayla would take the risk to tell her. She didn't want to push her further.

Lana patted Kayla's hand and said, "Thank you for letting me know. Also, good luck with the competition!"

Kayla regained her confidence when Lana mentioned the competition. "Don't worry. This time, I won't let you win so easily."

The two of them exchanged a smile.

Lana and Nadia soon returned home. However, Nadia had been worried ever since she heard Kayla's warning.

"Don't be like this, Nadia. You're making me even more nervous," Lana said.

"But I don't want you to get hurt again," Nadia replied.

Lana sighed silently. Nadia was too kind. "Don't worry. Do I look like someone who would just stand and take a beating?"
