Laila used her remaining sanity and strength to push Tristan away from her. He stepped back three times, meanwhile, she glimpsed in the direction of the living room where her husband was.

As she was fully persuaded that Vincent hadn't seen them, she glared at the man who was out of his senses.

"What do you think you're doing? Why did you do that?! Do you really want to destroy our relationship?!" She whispered as she gritted her teeth to Tristan.

But instead of coming back to his senses, he burst out laughing which drives her face to become even more confused.

"Y-Your relationship has been ravaged for a long time, Laila. Y-You're the only fool who still hopes that it will be fixed. W-Why don't you just dump that man? H-He's just giving you aches and frustrations. J-Just come with me."

He held one of her hands but she quickly shrugged it off as she laid her palm on his silky cheek.
