Lalaine caught Evo's palm but after pulling her upright, she willfully dipped into his broad chest. Her two arms also wrapped around Evo's neck like a snake.

"I-I'm sorry. . . I-I lost my balance," Lalaine lied.

She never took her eyes off Evo, while the man was still holding her back to keep her from falling.

"It's alright, Miss. Are you okay?”

The lines on Evo's forehead deepened as he stared rigidly at her face up close.

"W-wait. I think I know you. Lalaine Montenegro, right?"

He quickly shoved her away as if he was sickened. Evo reacted like she had an infectious disease.

"Y-you know me?" as if she didn't know who he was.

Simply, she straightened the barely tangled clothes before she faced the man. She plastered a sweet smile on her lips to tempt him.

"It's nice to know you know me."

Evo folded his arms wearing a crooked smile. There was a great wonder in his eyes, not because of the admiration of the woman's beauty, but because of her talent in acting.
