Chapter Fifty-two

Dai's POV

The goal of my actions towards Lia is to get her to quit since it'll be difficult to fire her from the company. I can't have her around me especially after the passionate night we shared three weeks ago. It takes a lot of self-control on my part not to pin her on the office door and have my way with her. I can't keep feeling this way towards her.

There's this nagging feeling in me when ever I see her sad, especially when I snob her. Lately I've been spending my evenings at Abe's night club, drinking all night and going late to the office. Lia always seems to handle everything with ease when I am absent. There's no way I can fire her even if I wanted to.

Thought she'll be broken by how I've been treating her and eventually she'll be forced to quit but it's the exact opposite. She has been ignoring me and only interacts when we're working, I don't know why it bothers me. She's always the first to leave during break time and when it's time to get off work, she doesn't hesitate
