Chapter 59: Girls Talk

Rainy New York made me feel a little depressed.

I was leaning against the window and looking at the street. Pedestrians were trotting in a hurry. The road downstairs of my house was blocked when there should be no traffic jam

Many people in New York didn't have the habit of using umbrellas, and I was one of them.

I put on a cape. The hood was deep enough to block my face completely, and I put on my scratched bag and walked to Jennifer's store. The traffic jam was a bit serious today, and her shop was not far from my home, so I decided to walk over.

I always liked to take shortcuts on rainy days, and it was nice to see the city from a different perspective.

I slipped into a small alley, looked around to see if anyone spotted me, flew to the roof, and then jumped between buildings at high speed. Overlooking the whole city gave me a feeling that everything was under control, although this might just be an illusion.
