"And what might you be?" The Nadri had thrown the question to Leo, his eyes fixed on the teenager. Sheila's horse bobbled its head, unable to stay steady, maybe it knew that finding a Nadri, or rather, running into one in the middle of the forest was a sign of danger.
"Is it not obvious?" Sheila defended. She tried as much as she could to keep her horse in between the Nadri and Leo who remained quiet and observant but the powerful beast she was on would not just stay put. She could hear the fleeting thoughts running through his mind and knew that he had no clue as to how dangerous and fast this short conversation could turn deadly. Sheila was ready for anything."No?" Leo had been unable to sleep throughout the night in the mountain after their encounter with the half Nadri. He had been worried for Sheila who, for the first time since he knew her, had shown weakness, which made him to wonder what exactly must have happened between her and the Nadir in the forest after he had escaped. He had stayed awake, watching her sleep soundly and had made two trips to the stream to get her some water and back up to the mountain. The water had helped a lot.Now as he watched her get ready to fly back down into the forest, he could almost not believe that she had been the same Angel who had been so weak and unable to walk properly last night. Sheila and Liam who had quietly been watching Leticia, saw her fall and on impulse, they both reached for her immediately to catch her from falling. Liam caught her quickly and carried her in his arms, placing her back gently on the bed "Liam, I do not think that the water would do much for her." Liam focused his attention on Leticia who laid motionless on the bed asides from her heaving chest as she struggled to breathe. Her body was no longer warm to the touch, her skin was pale and her slightly parted lips were a shade of blue, her eye lids quavered in her attempt to keep them open. Liam clasped her hand in his and brought it up to his chest, as he watched her, he could see Sharon, his human and he could see Phidian, the demon girl she had become. He battled in his mind to stop himself from imagining Leticia as a demon girl. He was going to save her at all cost and he would never allow what had happened to Sharon to ever happen to Leticia. There was only one place he could think of to take her to. Only one person he could think of that could help him and in all honesty, he wished there was another better option."There is one place I have in my head to take her to." Liam watched the demon retreat away from him slowly with a look of shock on his face and he knew immediately that something was not alright.
