37. Hunter

The Reaper left a moment later. I felt my eyes begin to close as sleepiness got the better of me. I hadn't even realized he had come back into the room as the comforting smell of eggs and bacon awakened my senses. I opened my eyes to see a tray resting on the bed beside me. The smell of the bacon was beyond comprehension as I felt my stomach roll from hunger. I reached over and carefully grabbed the tray, careful not to open my stitches.

On the tray were a glass of orange juice, a plate of bacon and eggs, a small glass of water and a pill next to a note. I grabbed the small note and read. 'This should help with your headache.' It read.

A smile crept onto my face as I looked over the tray. I knew I should be cautious about taking medicine from a stranger. But something was telling me that it would be ok. If the Reaper were going to hurt me, he would've done it by now. If anything, why would he save me just to take advantage of me after? He could've just let me bleed out at the fight
