Alec POV
"So we have a deal?" Violet West asked, holding her long slender hand out for me to shake.
"You will return my man and excuse his crimes against your pack in exchange for 2.5 Million. Correct?" She asked, her purple hues narrowed on me in what I am sure was meant to be an intimidating glare.
But I understood her better than she would like; I knew she was scared of me; everyone was! I could smell the fear seeping through her pores; just like I knew, those eyes she had glued on me were not purple but, in fact, blue - Contacts! It was all part of her tough bitch persona! Well, she can play dress up as the queen of the underworld if she likes! It makes no difference to me! A deal was a deal - her lover for 2.5 million!
Standing, I nodded, buttoning up my black Armani suit and brushing off imaginary filth from the expensive fabric. Looking at her outstretched hand in contempt, having no intention of touching it. Violet picked up on my disgust and dropped her hand to her side with a heavy frown that made her look older than I knew she was.
"It's always a pleasure, Mr Azure." She scoffed sarcastically. "When will my man be returned to me?" She asked, no longer hiding the irritation from her tone.
"Once we have the money." My beta and twin brother retorted, stepping forward to hand her a card that I knew contained our details and how she was to make the payment. Leaving them to work through the finalities of our deal, I walked over to the balcony of the VIP section and looked down at the nightclub. She had a good thing going here. The neon lights lit up the dancefloor, and diamond-like rain shimmered from the ceiling in the form of glitter.
I watched with distaste as young women flaunted their bodies in skimpy clothing, teasing the cocks of men and beasts alike. The place reeked of sex, cheap perfume and sweet alcohol. Absent-mindedly, I focused on Violet's conversation with my brother Hugo. She wanted proof of life before she sent the money over.
Who was she kidding, given how packed this place was 2.5 Mill was nothing to this bitch. And I would say a pretty shitty amount to offer in exchange for the life of a loved one!
"He is a screamer; did you know that?" I asked, looking over my shoulder at Violet; my eyes tightened on her, accessing her quickly for a weakness should this get messy. Turning fully, I leaned against the railing; my fingers caressed the cool metal as I watched her process my words.
"He cried like a baby when I removed his fingernails!" I admitted, Hugo laughed beside me, calling him a pussy which was true but unnecessary; we knew she knew it to be true. She wouldn't be so desperate to get him back if she weren't worried about the secrets he would spill when push came to shove, for Violet here that seemingly came before the fear of losing her beloved lover.
"He screamed when I removed his fangs, and I dare say he will scream again if you don't pay that money! Because I will be peeling back his skin slowly, starting at his feet, I will work my way up to his scalp." I declared truthfully, locking my eyes on Violet. Grinning, noticing her squirm a little, I ignored her discomfort and continued.
"Am I right in saying Vampires do heal?" I questioned; she nodded; apparently, she had lost her voice, so yet again, I continued.
"Well, when I am done, and he is nicely healed I will do it again, and again and again and each time, I will have his bloodied skin dropped off on your doorstep... You will know when I have become bored because I will stop dropping them, and instead I will drop off his beaten and broken body piece by fucking piece!"
"Mr Azure!" Violet interrupted me, snarling. I held my hand up for silence, and she obeyed, knowing better than to push me.
"So either pay up or pray that tomorrow you receive his meat suit and not his head!" I declared calmly, turning my attention back to the nightclub.
My eyes narrowed on a figure making its way through the dancefloor, pushing her way through the sea of bodies, both human and beast alike.
It couldn't be!
"Aurora?" I whispered, feeling those behind me fall quiet. My fingers gripped the metal as I watched her, the way she moved, the way she held herself.. It was her! My aurora!
"Stay with Violet, make sure she makes payment if not- kill him!" I snapped, walking from the balcony; the security opened the VIP cord for me respectfully, watching as I brushed by them, taking the stairs two at a time. I needed to get a better look; I needed to be closer.
Reaching the edge of the dance floor, I smirked, seeing the female bring a guy to his knees; I could smell her from here; it was indeed Aurora! My ex-wife! She hadn't changed; she was just as feisty, fierce and damn fuckable as she was all those years ago. I watched with intrigue as her friend pulled her away, chewing her out for hurting a guy.
"Hardly; she was just taking out the trash!" Wrath, my wolf added, as he too, watched her with amusement. He had missed her! Despite everything that had happened, he still loved her and had never gotten over her!
As she moved across the packed room, pushing her way through the sardine tin of bodies, I took my chance and stepped in beside her. The second I closed the gap between us, I inhaled her familiar scent of strawberries and lime! My body felt soothed and alive for the first time in years. My fingers hovered close to her neck as I brushed her hair from her lobe to whisper into her ear.
"I see nothing has changed, Aurora!"
I wondered what her next move would be; the thing with Aurora was that you never were able to predict her moods or responses. She was utterly unique and breathtakingly perfect. She just never believed it!
Or maybe I should have told her more often.
Disappearing effortlessly into the crowd, I found a spot in a darkened alcove and watched her spin around, looking for me. I was no fool; I knew she had waited just long enough to let me slip away before turning; Panic filled her pretty features; her blue eyes turned almost grey, and her dark honeyed hair seemed to stick to her neck as she froze, like me, she was not ready to meet face-to-face just yet!
But soon... Soon she would kneel before me and accept whatever punishment I bestowed upon her for her crimes against me and my pack!
For killing my parents, harming my mate, trying to kill my brother, dishonouring, and leaving ME!
Yes... she would pay! And I would see to it that she never left me or my bed again!
Aurora POV "I am not crazy!" I fumed, sitting in the seat beside Meg and taking the drink that Ollie offered; with a roll of my eyes at the pink umbrella that floated around the rim of the glass, I pulled it out, wrapping my lips around the stick, not wanting to waste any of the alcohol, it took a lot to get me drunk. Hence why, I refused to lose even a drop. Flinging the umbrella at Meg, seeing her stare at me with a crooked smile, I sighed, leaning my elbows on the table to look at the males she had arranged to meet tonight while trying to ignore the niggly feeling in my gut that someone was watching me. Fuck it! Let the bastard watch! A tall, ripped guy sat to my left, smirking at me as he unashamedly looked down at my cleavage. His dark hair and even darker eyes screamed bad boy! Beside him, a stocky blonde male sat, eyeing Ollie hungrily. If his lingering stare wasn't enough to give away the fact he was playing for the other team, the purple eyeshadow and thick eyeliner sure di
Alec POV I don't know whether to be flattered by the fact she is responding to MY touch or outraged that she thinks it's some sleaze balls hands groping her gorgeous body while pulling such delicious moans from her. "You seriously think I would let someone else touch you like this, Kitten?" I purred into her ear, gripping her throat tighter, feeling the muscles strain to allow her to turn to look at me. No, I wasn't ready for her to see me yet; I planned to invade her senses slowly, starting with touch. So Touch I would! Rocking my hips against her, I grinned, feeling her pussy quiver as the tip of my cock teased at her entrance, an entrance she offered me freely. "Get off me!" She protested, yet her hand remained steadfast, holding that flimsy piece of fabric that covered her centre aside for me. Clicking my tongue in her ear, I grinned against the heated flesh of her neck. "Let's not pretend you don't love the feeling of my hands on your body, kitten." I breathed into her e
Aurora POV "Son of a bitch!" I whispered at no one in particular while looking down at my phone; my eyes scanned the message; the crude words glowing against the darkness of my screen left me speechless. A mixture of anger and fear crashed through my body like a tidal wave, destroying everything in its path. Even Ava was numb. I shifted my eyes back to the body on the table before me; the wood table top cracked, splinters of wood everywhere, glasses shattered, and vibrant liquor mixed with the deep red of the blood oozing over the table in a dominant swirl. The male on the table stunk of fear, his face moulded in a mask of unadulterated terror, he had suffered, and it was clearly at Alec's hands! "I should feel guilty!" I moaned to Ava, both of us knowing I should hate myself for pushing Alec and ignoring his warning, but I felt nothing but pure, unfiltered rage. "What for?" Ava questioned abruptly. "For not heeding Alec's warning? For loving the psychopath to start with? For not
Alec POV "Are you sure this is where she lives?" Hugo's revolted voice cut through the stale air of Aurora's room. "This place is a dump!" He huffed, walking around her room while looking at it with the same disgust he would a rednecks trailer park. I shifted my attention from Hugo to two of my pack members installing small hidden cameras around Aurora's room. I noted the look they were giving each other as they shifted some of her belongings from the top of her dresser to provide them better footing. They, too, had the same disgusted look as my brother. "Problem?" I asked, trying to keep the irritation from my voice as they turned to look at me; Ian, the older of the pair, had worked for my father before me and knew better than to question my commands, but his partner was reasonably new. I could see the question bubbling on his tongue. He was desperate to understand why we were here! "Hugo is right. This place is a dump. One of these cameras is worth more than everything in this
Aurora POV "What the fuck?" I groaned, bringing my hand up to my pounding head, blood coating my fingers as I ran them over my scalp, wincing at a nearly healed cut that was making my hair sticky and forcing it to matt between my fingers. I had been jumped; I remember that. The last image I had before I gave into the darkness was the filthy face of the vampire from the bar! His face blurred in front of my vision before my eyes closed. The snarl on his lips and hatred in his eyes as he charged me had sealed this night's fate to sit at the top ten worst nights of all time! Pulling myself up, I looked around the now-empty forest in confusion; everyone knew vampires never left their prey! So why had he jumped me and not hurt me, or was I missing something? "Let's not look a gift horse in the mouth Aurora!" Ava barked at me, lending me strength as I forced myself onto my feet, my legs wobbling under the strain of my achy body. Gasping, I looked around me; the ground was painted in vibra
Alec POV "Sir, I... I..." Marcus stuttered nervously, causing me to roll my eyes. Shooting Hugo a look that said 'humans,' I waited for him to spit out the rest of his sentence. "I... I em... Em" My patience snapping; I gripped the phone to my ear tighter, trying desperately to keep my temper under control. My eyes scanned Hugo, who had leant in closer to hear whatever Marcus had to say, evidently getting as nervous as me by his call. We had known Ava would have picked up on the scent of wolves hanging around the bar, even if we had called in a favour from a boarding pack and asked them to watch over her. So, we decided to hire a human security crew after hearing about the attack on Aurora in the woods. Although my pack had squashed the threat and made a very clear example of the filthy vampire, Hugo and I refused to risk any further harm coming to Aurora, the pair of us agreeing that the only people to make our lives hell would be us! The only downfall to hiring a human securi
Alec POV Gripping my stiff member with a throaty moan, my fingers unable to close around the girth, the head sticking up well above my fist, plenty of shaft still exposed and throbbing beyond my firm hold. "See the effect you still have on me, kitty!" I moaned mindlessly, beginning to pump my hand, providing relief to the aching throb threatening to tear my cock apart as I watched Aurora lift off the wall and scream before storming to the bathroom. "Fuck!" I snarled, not wanting to miss a second of her; I let go of my cock for a moment and flicked the camera to those we had set up in the bathroom and watched as she stripped off her little crop top that barely covered her beautiful tits, a groan escaped my lips as her tits bounced free. Her tight pink nipples were already hard. She had always got off on fear and anger; I had lost count of how many times our fights had turned into mind-blowing sex. Sitting back in my chair, my eyes trailed over the screen, watching as she discarded
Aurora POV Feeling the late morning sun lick at my bareback, I groaned as I stretched my aching bones out. Searching along the hardwood floor for the pillow I knew I had gone to sleep with; I sighed as images of the night before danced across my memory. I had trashed my room in a fit of rage, too stubborn to tidy up and put my bed back. I had fallen asleep on the floor with nothing but my blanket and pillow, which I had seemingly lunged across the room during the night, taking my bad mood into my slumberland. "That explains the stiff back!" I mumbled, flipping over onto it with a moan. "You know you will have to clean this shit up, right?" Ava sassed with amusement. "Ugh!" I screamed, kicking my legs and banging my fists at my side like a child who had just been told it was bedtime. "What are you six? Get your ass up and sort this shit out before Ollie gets back! You know he will freak if he sees this mess!" She groaned, but I could hear the concern in her voice. "Did you hear hi
