Chapter 30: A Cult.

Aurora POV

I forced myself to step away from Alec, instantly missing the warmth his body provided. Sucking down the feeling of loss that teased at my heart, I headed back to the bar, walking past Hugo nervously. He lay on the floor, flopping onto his back to look at the ceiling, his hair a mess, his skin bloodied and bruised, but not as much as I suspect his ego was right now.

"Did you reach Fury?" I asked Ava, who was still silent although present.

Glimpsing the red and blue lights of the police flashing outside the bar. I lowered my head, knowing things were about to get a hell of a lot worse. I slipped back into the safety Ollie offered and nodded at him, an unspoken understanding passing between us.

"What are you doing, Aurora!" I heard Alec ask, his voice laced with pain that I didn't want to register, letting me know he, too, had seen the lights outside, but that wasn't surprising. Alec never missed a thing!
