Chapter 52: Slice Of Heaven.

Aurora POV

Hearing the distant sound of people arguing, my eyes flew open; sitting bolt upright, I felt fear grip my chest, tightening my lungs in its deadly vice.

"Luke?" I gasped nervously, looking around the dimly lit room.

"Hey, hey! It's OK, Aurora." I heard Hugo whisper from beside me, letting out a shaky breath. My lungs relaxed, allowing my lungs to return to normal.

"The shouting?" I whispered cautiously, my eyes locked on Hugo's dark blue orbs.

"Just the TV!" He explained, his cautious eyes observing me, but their softness had me a little on edge. I sucked down the unease and followed his hand as it picked up a TV controller and pointed it to the other side of the room, muting the TV. Narrowing my eyes on the room, I looked around, confused at my new surroundings. It felt like just moments ago, I was in the back of a rental. Now I was dressed in oversized sweatpants and a fresh T-shirt.

"Did you get me changed?" I asked, chewing the side of my lip, feeling a little unco
