Fifty Two.

Lana’s POV

“You’re mad!” I mutter as I follow his finger. Looking out at the empty packlands, I couldn’t work out why he was seeing things differently to me.

“Lana. It’s not me, it’s you.”

“There is no one here!”

He spins the wheelchair around so that I am facing him. “Lana, you are not making any sense.”

Over his shoulder, I could see the pack's hospital. The one that I had just been in. It looked like it had been abandoned, much like the rest of the pack. The windows were broken, vines grew up over the building along with ageing cracks in the walls.

Caleb follows my gaze, peering at the pack hospital. He looks to me and then back to the building.

“What are you frowning at?”

“You just brought me out of there?”

“Yes. It’s where you have been for the last week.” His head keeps flicking back and forth between me and the hospital as he frowns.

I didn’t understand. Nothing was making any sense. Why was Caleb seeing things differently to me?

“It looks abandoned.”

“What have you taken?”
