Sixty Five.

Lana’s POV

Hallen didn’t try anything. He walked me through the forest to a main road where we climbed into the car that was waiting.

“You made the right decision, my love.” He pats me on the head, like how a person would pat a dog.

“What would you have done if I hadn't come with you?”

“I think we both know the answer to that. Lana, my love, you most likely just saved a pack.”

The further the car moved, the more the pain inside of me grew. I knew what was happening. The distance between Logan and I was the cause. Every inch of me felt like it was on fire. My skin burned the further we drove. I was close to passing out.

As I rest my hand on my stomach, Hallen’s usually still face turns into a frown.

“Already?” He questions me like it was my fault as a bead of sweat rolls down the side of my face.
