Twenty Three.

Lana’s POV

He hadn’t locked the door.

I opened it several times, but every time I went to step out, I found myself slamming it shut again. I just couldn’t bring myself to step outside. Who knows what would be waiting for me? Maybe it was some kind of trap?

Instead I watch from the window. The guy from the dungeons appears. I think his name was Sam. They have what looks like a heated conversation. I couldn’t be sure though. Logan stood perfectly still, his hands in his pockets, completely unbothered. Yet Sam was throwing his hands around. I couldn’t make out what they were saying even when I opened the window a little.

They both suddenly look up at me. I don’t know why but I ducked. Like I wasn’t supposed to be seen.

Slowly standing back up, they were both gone.

“That can’t be good.” I mutter.

Anxiety gets the best of me and I start pacing, waiting for them to appear. Ten minutes pass and there are still no signs of them. Maybe they were waiting for me, but then surely I would
