"Don't say anything," I told Wilson before swiping to answer the call.

"Hello?"

"Where are you?" was his immediate response.

"I have a feeling you know where I am."

"You're not with Solene and you're not at our site," he said. "If you've finished your work, come home. We have something we need to discuss."

"What's that?"

"About that male you've been seeing."

A ripple of irritation surged through me. I knew he was speaking like that on purpose. I knew he was trying to get a reaction from me. "His name is Wilson." I said evenly.

The Wilson in question vigorously shook his head, holding up his arms.

"Don't bring me up!"

"Are you sure that's his name?" my mother asked me. "He seems to rely on lying. Were you aware that he has not even spent a day in France? He doesn't even have a passport. I'm sure there are many other lies he's told you that aren't true."
