CHAPTER 23: The Bait

"Who are you?"

The man inquired, his hands trembling as he held a knife in his hand. He wasn't sure if what he was doing was right, he didn't want to harm his girlfriend, but he wasn't sure if she was the person he truly loved.

"Honey," Ashleigh muttered, the man dropped his weapon as soon as he heard it.

"Fatima," he called.

Once his grip loosened, Ashleigh smirked and swung around to face him, pinning him against one of the wine shelves.

"Wait, you are not her right?" Even in shock, the guy still asked her. Ashleigh stares at his eyes first and then nods. She then set him free from her tight grip. She gestures to him to sit on one of the chairs, which he did.

"Yes, I am not."

"But, how? You really look like her, who are you?" Edward asked her, she closes her eyes first before answering.

"Your girlfriend is involved in an attempted murder, they were using her to carry out their plan." She plainly said.
