Alpha Alexander sat down on his chair, his beta opposite him babbling away. His mind had gone miles from where he was.He had a dream that morning. But this time, there was a slight difference. He had managed to see her face. But what frustrates him right now, he couldn't remember her face. Everything had turned blurry in his memory. He hated himself for not being able to remember bthe face of his destined. He did remey one thing though, he remembered he was awestruck by her beauty. Never had he seen someone as beautiful as she was."Dummy, you can't even remember the face of our mate. So how are we going to find her?" His wolf asked as he was disappointed with Alexander. "It isn't my fault. It's like something is blocking me from seeing her face. I just can't explain it.""That doesn't exclude the fact that you've forgotten her face." His wolf said, angry. "I hope I'll see her again tonight. I'll make sure to brand every detail of her face into my memory." Alexander said with confi
Alexander watched as her confusion flooded her eyes. He knew she didn't know who he was. He was sure she'll be terrified once she finds out who he is because of the stories that had been tied to his name."Our mate is so fine." His wolf said dreamily in his head.He looked closely at her and his dream came flooding back. He could remember his dream now. But her hair color was different from the one he saw in the dream. But right now her hair's color black. He'll have to ask her later.Claire was shocked and speechless as she gazed into the coffee-black eyes of a man who was her fated mate. She felt the mate bond string as she stared at him silently. She did not know what to make of it. She never thought her mate would come from this dreaded pack and the way Isabelle fawned over him, it was obvious he was of high rank. A Gamma or a Beta? She was yet to see the Alpha. He was a very attractive male. She observed. Tall, broad shoulders with packs she guessed from the way his stomach was h
Isabelle paced furiously in her room. She never thought all she had worked for will come tumbling down in a moment. She wanted Alexander and most especially, she wanted the throne and the power that comes with it.She looked down at herself and realized she was still in her bathrobe but that was the least of her worries. He needed to get rid of Claire and had to do it fast as silently as possible. But she had no idea how to do so with utmost secrecy.Alexander would be all over Claire she thought. He wouldn't be far away from Claire so how would she carry out whatever plan she formulates? She was getting frustrated at this point because she failed to come up with a good plan. Her hair had gone messy because she had used her hands to comb through it which was so unlike her. Isabelle carried herself with regal grace like the queen she thought she was. She was the daughter of a man who was high in status after the gamma.Because of how close she and Alexander had grown up and him not f
The sunlight filtered into the night room as Claire's eyes flickered open. She was on a soft bed that was filled with the scent of her mate. He smelled of the rain and forest and she loved everything about it. She hugged the pillow tightly as she drew in the scent of her mate. She couldn't get enough. The smell was faint which indicated he hadn't used the bed in a while. She got up and stretched her limbs. Thankfully, she was still dressed in the clothes she had put on before coming. So nobody changed her out of it. The thought of someone changing her while she was asleep made her shudder. She walked over to the window and noticed the snow had started to melt and the sun had started to bring out its head from under the clouds. It was such a beautiful time of the year she loved. She hated winter because of the cold it brought along with it. She hated being locked indoors. She'd be indoors for most of her life so any opportunity she sees, she makes use of it.She walked to the closet.
Alexander breezed through the forest in his wolf. He hadn't stopped thinking about his mate for hours. He had made her cry and he detested himself for that.He had felt alone and decided to let it out on a run. His wolf was mad at him for treating their mate in such a manner. He hated himself too but he just had to do it. He knew she would try to run away. He saw the fear in her eyes when he revealed he was the alpha. He knew locking her up would only aggravate the already shaking relationship they had but he needed to keep her safe. His enemies were everywhere and letting his mate out of his sight was something he couldn't bear. She looked weak and he doubted she could protect herself out there. He will never forgive himself if something happened to her because he was unable to protect her.He stopped by a small river panting heavily. He had gone beyond his limits. He didn't care. The pain was too unbearable. He missed her but he just couldn't show weakness or the way she affected h
Isabelle breathed heavily. She had finally crossed her pack's border without anyone noticing. Now, she wants any rogue to see her and bring her to his master, Dane. She had walked for almost thirty minutes but she didn't see any rogue. A smell assaulted her nostril and she knew she was getting closer to a rogue. She walked faster. She wanted to get this done once and for all. She heard the scrunch of a leaf not too far off. Gnarling follows. There were a total of three rogues. They came and circled her like the prey. "Take me to your Alpha. I want to see him." She said."Who do you think you are to demand our Alpha?" The tallest of them said. He wore dark-coloured clothing which made him blend with the darkness.Isabelle didn't say anything further as she looked at him with a smirk. Seeing that she wasn't talking, they moved towards her with caution and bound her arms, putting a dark cloth to her eye to hinder her eyesight. She felt a dirty cloth on her mouth as they gagged her
Isabelle lies across Dane's chest, stroking the hairs on his chest. Sometimes, she would give it a little tug which made Dane frown his face in displeasure. But that displeasure soon turned into a smile. He gazed at his beautiful mate. She had come willingly to him and given herself to him. He never thought she'd do considering how proud she was. He knew the request she asked of him would be no simple one because she would have sent a note or a maid but she chose to come herself which shows the gravity of the situation.Who dares hurt or threatens his mate will lose an eye or a limb he swore in his heart. She looked up at him as he accessed her features closely. She was a beautiful woman who knew how to get what she wanted. And this time she needed his help. He'd go miles to help her. His worry right now was she hadn't said anything about accepting him or not. He did not want to push it. But it was killing him inside to know if she would. Her words jolted him out of his thoughts."W
Claire got up from her sleep-long position which was not a sleeping position. She massaged her aching neck and stretched her limbs to get the blood flowing back into it again. She had slept off while reading the book. She sneezed as she caught a chill. The night sky was dark outside which meant she slept off for some hours. She stood up and walked into the library, closing the balcony doors behind her. She didn't know how or when she had slept. She was normally a light sleeper. But she guessed she had expected nothing to happen to her and had become comfortable in this place.A splitting headache overcame her as she dropped the book to the floor which made a loud thud in the silent library. She clutched her head in her hands as memories she had no recollection of started appearing before her eyes. She fell to the ground as she breathed heavily, the pain slowly subsiding. What was that? She thought. She didn't know where those memories came from. Is it from the present or the past?
