Devastated

It took quite a long time for Javier to calm Elora down. Javier led Elora to lie down, but Elora shot a disgusted look at the bed. It now reminded her of an incident two years ago, which she desperately wanted to forget. Finally, Javier led Elora to the sofa and accompanied her to sit there.

“Are you sure he’s the one?” Javier asked carefully, after handing Elora a glass of water.

Elora gulped down the water and then slammed the empty glass onto the table. She tightly clenched her hands in front of her body. “I will never forget that face.”

Someone knocked on Elora’s door, and Javier looked at Elora for approval before opening the door. Elora nodded as she pressed her knees to her chest and hugged it tightly. Javier walked to the door and opened it. Zed’s figure appeared from behind the door. He looked worried.
