Another Scandal

Emma's POV

When the nurse came in, I handed over the charge and went back home. Since my house was near, it was now very convenient for me to walk back home instead of waiting for the early morning bus.

I entered the passcode of the house and slowly went in, the house was pitch black and everyone was asleep. I did not want to disturb them.

I went to my room and dropped on the bed, I did not even bother to change into my pajamas.

I had to go back to the hospital in the afternoon, so I used my leftover energy to set up an alarm before drowning in the darkness.

My eyes flew open to the sound of my phone exploding with messages and calls. Even though I was half asleep, I knew that this was not a good sign. I picked up the phone, “Hello? Natalie?”
