"Why did you need to talk in private?"

When Melanie and Linda entered the room, Greg asked arrogantly in his seat.

"Girl talk." Linda smiled coyly.

"Mr. Hardy, I came today to let you know I'm safe. Last time I left, I was unconscious and couldn't say goodbye to you. This time I wanted to make up for it," Melanie said sincerely after composing herself.

"You’re already here, and yet you still want to say goodbye to me?" Greg had hoped Linda would persuade Melanie to stay, so he was somewhat disappointed.

"Yes." Melanie nodded decisively. "I have patients who need my care. I don't belong here. I hope my presence tonight hasn't spoiled anyone's mood."

"But I also have illnesses. My lungs are bad, and I have heart problems. You know this, don't you? I could also be your patient." Greg made a final effort.
