Smile

I stared dead at her back and was sure once again: it was definitely her, she was the woman I'd come across when I'd picked up that diary!

Caleb smiled, but this smile was no longer bland: "Hard." A mere one-word answer, but it made it seem as if there were countless bitterness hidden within.

"You're smiling a forced smile today," Caleb continued as he took a sip of the red wine in his hand, "and it's been muffled."
