Chapter 16 - Alex
What is happening to me? I can’t believe that I even reacted to David’s touch.
That is insane. I don’t like him. I’m not attracted to him. It is only because I’ve been without sex for so long. Yeah, that has to be it. My body is super sensitive right now, and that is why I moaned when he nibbled my ear. It can’t be because I liked it or that I was enjoying it. Right?
I pick up a pebble and heave it hard towards the water. I sigh as it skips across the water several times before it disappears below the surface.
Maybe my life is like that stone. I’m just skipping along the water right now, trying to stay afloat, but as soon as this bet is over, and I can get back to my old self. This version of me will disappear.
