Chapter 50 - Alex
My head throbs as I slowly open my eyes and glance around the room. A sense of relief washes over me as I quickly recognize my penthouse apartment.
The events from yesterday flashes through my mind and my relief soon vanishes into thin air as a wave of panic shoots through me.
Did I do anything with that woman? I don’t know what she looks like. I don’t even know her name.
How could I be so stupid?
Plus, I never bring a one-night stand to my place, even if it isn’t where I’m staying at the moment.
I slowly look to my side, trying not to move in case I’m not alone. I exhale in relief when I find the bed empty. However, when I turn back toward my nightstand, another wave of panic washes over me as my eyes land on a glass of water and a couple of pills.
