I can hear my phone ringing in the dining room where I had left it. I am in the kitchen making lunch because I have been working the whole day, forgetting to feed myself.

You are perhaps wondering what I have been working on, but you probably guessed, and guess what? You are right. I am still trying to bring down the Alonso truck business, and I don’t need any distractions — distractions being Paula. I have not seen her nor talked to her for a week, but baby girl never stops calling me. I am pretty sure that she was the one calling right now.

After closing my sandwich, I gait my way to the dining room and pull the chair to sit down. I grab my phone from the table and go through it as I eat my sandwich. My phone rings again, but it is a different number this time. I slide to the green answering option and put my phone against my ear.
